Columbia — There is even more atrocious bills coming down the pike in a few days.
On Wednesday, January 26, S. 988 is expected to come out in a committee, according to WREN (Women’s Rights and Empowerment Network) and Vicki Ringer. This is the biggest of the atrocious fascist bills the legislature is looking to pass against the will of the people.
UPDATE at 10:48 am Friday: Winter Weather Advisory is now active for Burke, Columbia, Edgefield, McDuffie and Richmond counties. This now includes Girard, Waynesboro, Appling, Evans, Grovetown, Edgefield, Johnston, Murphys Estates, Trenton, Thomson, Hephzibah and Augusta.

UPDATE 4 at 3:43 pm Friday: Winter Weather Advisory is active for the rest of the Aiken Area – Bulloch, Jenkins, Lincoln, McCormick and Screven counties. This includes Portal, Statesboro, Millen, Lincolnton, Clarks Hill, McCormick, Mount Carmel, Hilltonia and Sylvania. We have added projected ice and snow totals for these areas.

Barnwell — There is a major crash involving a FedEx truck on the only multi-lane highway in the county.
According to the People-Sentinel and the South Carolina Highway Patrol, the two vehicle crash happened in front of Wade’s Repair Service on DUNBARTON BLVD.
Orangeburg — On Monday, Orangeburg Regional Airport was one of several to report storm force winds in the Aiken Area.
The National Weather Service in Columbia noted that winds at Orangeburg was measured at 61 mph. That’s classified as storm force winds under the Beaufort scale.
San Francisco — Another US politician has been permanently suspended by Twitter for refusing to comply with their terms of use.
According to NBC News, US Representative Marjorie Taylor Greene has been permanently suspended by the social media outlet because she repeatedly and egregiously violated COVID misinformation policies. Twitter said that she accumulated five strikes since she was sworn in as a representative on January 4, 2021.
