Woman slain in Beaufort County

Man charged with murder in death of woman in Beaufort County

PRITCHARDVILLE — A man is in the Beaufort County jail charged with murdering one of his neighbors.

At around 8:10 today, a daughter found her 60-year-old mother dead inside her residence on Barefoot Alley, near the intersection with May River Rd.

The sexagenarian died by blunt force trauma to her head with a metal object, according to a press release from the Beaufort County Sheriff’s Office.

Both the victim and suspect knew each other. They were acquaintances.

Walter William Glass, 41, was arrested by the BCSO and charged with murder, armed robbery and burglary.

N.C. man arrested for domestic violence after hitting girlfriend with pizza

Man arrested for throwing pizza at girlfriend

NORTH WILKESBORO, NC — This is what really grinds my gears!

A 25-year-old Wilkes County man was arrested on Sunday for throwing a pizza at his girlfriend.

Wilkes County Sheriff’s Department detectives received a call from the neighbor of the man and the victim, his 19-year-old girlfriend.

The call came after the neighbor, Jennifer Freeman, knocked on the man’s door to get a smoke in with him. Then, as the man went to answer the door, he slipped and fell. (The floor was wet.) That pissed him off so much, he chucked at least one slice of pizza at his girlfriend. That’s when the two women ran next door — without the cigarette — and called the WCSO. The man did not physically strike either of the women, though the pizza did not recover.

Upon arrival at the scene, one Wilkes County Sheriff’s officer observed “pizza sauce on the back of [the victim’s] right rib cage” and “pieces of pizza all over the living room floor as well as on the wall behind the front entrance door to the apartment.”

The man tried to deny that he threw the pizza, but evidence showed otherwise.

Cody Sebastian Parsons, 25, of Wilkesboro, was arrested and charged with criminal domestic violence. He was booked into the Wilkes County Detention Center.

Like I said this morning with the Fort Mill story, PIZZA IS MADE FOR EATING! Pizza was not, nor will ever be, made for abusing women!

Constituents vow to recall Bob Filner if he refuses to step down as San Diego mayor + Sexual assault victim speaks to WJBF

Multiple groups of constituents deliver ultimatum to mayor/sexual harasser Bob Filner

SAN DIEGO — Mayor Bob Filner has gone into counseling after admitting to sexually harassing at least a septet of women — and likely includes women who work in San Diego’s street sign shop.

All of these incidents have now ignited calls of recalls against Bob Filner from all sides — from feminists to Tea Party groups, and everyone in between.

He made the announcement earlier this afternoon during a news conference that he will be taking a two-week leave of absence.

However, a group of petitioners are giving him three days to resign. And Democratic National Committee chairwoman Debbie Wasserman Schultz wants Mr. Filner gone immediately.

The Florida representative says the misconduct Mr. Filner has been accused of is, “reprehensible and indefensible.”

Rep. Wasserman Schultz says there is, quote, “no place for this type of conduct in the workplace and certainly not in our city halls and public offices.”

Stampp Corbin vows to recall Mr. Filner at 20:01 Barnwell time (17:01 local time) on Monday if he does not step down by then. Mr. Corbin is a hardcore progressive who supported Mr. Filner in the most recent mayoral election.

Mr. Corbin, owner and publisher of San Diego-based LGBT Weekly who took out a classified ad stating his intentions to go forward with a recall, has the full backing of many people across party lines — from feminists to the tea party people.

To get a recall on the ballot, Mr. Corbin would need to collect at least 101,596 valid signatures in 39 days.

Sexual assault victim speaks to WJBF as predator bonds out of jail

WJBF-TV ABC 6 Augusta-Aiken News, Weather, Sports

AIKEN — A Burnettown man arrested on Tuesday for sexually assaulting several women to satisfy his foot fetish has bonded out of jail tonight.

Meanwhile, we hear from his sexual assault victim, Carol Owens.

Mrs. Owens’s has given the media permission to use her name, and she sat down only with WJBF-DT News Channel 6 to talk about the incident.

“I had flip flops on and I feel something on the ankle part of my leg and feel something under my foot,” said Mrs. Owens.

“It was wet and round – and I put my foot down and it mushed so I thought I stepped on a grape.”

That is when she turned around and saw the man that Grovetown Police Department, Columbia County Sheriff’s Office and North Augusta Department of Public Safety have all been looking for because of his crimes against women, including sexual assault and unauthorized solicitation.

Joey Leaphart, 44, of Burnettown.

Mrs. Owens recognized him from earlier television reports when he was accused of sniffing and kissing the feet of an 18-year-old woman in Grovetown, Ga.

“I knew it was Joey Leaphart. He says I forgot my gum and I need to get it and I said no, you need to back off,” said Mrs. Owens.

“It is very odd – it’s not something we see everyday,” said Aiken Department of Public Safety Lt. Karl Odenthal.

Police from multiple jurisdictions say Mr. Leaphart has pulled similar stunts in the past. Mrs. Owens says she is shaken up and feels violated by the incident.

“(Sexual) Assault means to me an unwanted touch by someone you don’t want. Everyone has a personal space. If I ask you into mine, that’s ok but if I don’t, don’t touch me,” said Mrs. Owens.

Mr. Leaphart is a convicted sex offender. At the start of the millennium, prosecutor Barbara Morgan convicted him of committing a lewd act on a teenager.

All-female gangs on the rise?

Police lookout for increase in female gang members and all-female gangs

ALBANY, GA — The Albany Police Department says that there is a disturbing trend that they are monitoring.

The Albany Police Department Gang Task Force investigators estimate up to 10% of gang members are female.

It’s uncommon for an entire gang to be made up of only girls and women, but more gangs have female members who are often involved in crimes.

“Their roles are typically to hold drugs or guns,” said Investigator Janel Herring. “Because they feel that females won’t get that much time if they are caught. Or if they won’t they can hide it in place where it possibly can’t be found.”

Girls as young as 8 are involved in gangs.

Orangeburg Sheriff Leroy Ravenell orders suspect: “Turn Yourself In Because We Will Find You!”

ORANGEBURG — Here is something that most people who follow crime or feminism don’t see everyday: a Sheriff publicly ordering a suspect to turn himself in or they will take him down.

That is exactly what Orangeburg County Sheriff Leroy Ravenell did in delivering an ultimatum to Kishon Chappelle Govan, 25, of Orangeburg (pictured).

“Govan if you are reading this, turn yourself in because we will find you!” shouted Sheriff Ravenell.

Mr. Govan is wanted for threatening a woman after pointing a weapon at her and saying, “I should kill you” and “You better be glad your kids are here” around 5:05 Sunday.

New ad sears Ken Cuccinelli for his lies and his war on women (VIDEO)

RICHMOND, VA — Ken Cuccinelli wants women in the Commonwealth of Virginia to take the focus off his war on their rights.

Guess what? It will not happen and I, for one, will keep the focus right where it belongs: on the GOP’s War On Women.

American Bridge is also vowing to do the same. In fact, they just posted a new ad on their Youtube page (it is not immediately known if this piece will run on television, I’m praying that it does) that exposes Cuccinelli for the unsanitary snake in the grass that he is. Watch it:

Here we go again! Military rape culture comes to Fort Carson

Soldiers investigated for sexual assault in Fort Carson

FORT CARSON, CO — Another story about the military rape culture out of control.

Army Criminal Investigation Command told Huffington Post that they are investigating allegations of sexual misconduct involving several soldiers and teenage girls.

ACIC didn’t say how many soldiers were under investigation, where the alleged misconduct took place or how many girls were allegedly involved.

The age of consent in Colorado is 17 years old.

A big thank you to Cosmopolitan Magazine for recognizing that female-on-male domestic violence is a major issue

NEW YORK CITY — A week ago today, Cosmopolitan — like I did two hours before them — posted about Emma Roberts’s domestic violence arrest and made it clear that being a woman is no longer an excuse for abusing the men in their lives.

Per the piece:

Many people are of the opinion that men “can’t be physically abused” the way men “can’t be raped,” because men are generally stronger than and can subsequently overpower women. Incidentally, neither of these are true.

According to a study done in 2000, the statistics of domestic abuse in America were 1.3 million women versus 835,000 men. A more recent study from 2011 ups the percentage: One in four men have experienced “rape, physical violence and/or stalking” by a partner, and one in seven have experienced “severe physical violence,” like beaten with a fist or a blunt object. And a 32-nation study by the University of New Hampshire claims that girlfriends initiate violence equally often as boyfriends do in relationships.

So don’t forget to pay mind: This does happen, and it needs just as much awareness and prevention as male-on-female domestic assault.

If I could applause for an hour without hurting my writing hand (I’m left-handed), I’d do so for Cosmopolitan.

Ah wait…I got a Youtube video of applause! I can’t express my gratitude enough for Cosmopolitan for shining the light on female-on-male domestic violence. Aside from the fact that female-on-male sexual violence is starting to become an epidemic, Cosmo needs to remember that some Ladyboner of the Day prospects are also being killed by abusive women.

Thursday special on WYFF-DT will focus on domestic violence in the Upstate. But will they air stories of men who were abused by women?

GREENVILLE — Pop quiz.

Which is the only state in the entire union that ranks in the Top Ten in both the number of women killed by men and the number of men killed by women in domestic violence related incidents?

All right, pencils down.

If you said South Carolina, you are correct.

In light of this alarming situation, WYFF-DT News 4 will air a series called Chronicle, which details stories about domestic violence. Unfortunately, though, they will not air stories of men who were abused by their wives and girlfriends, which really undercuts this particular episode because female-on-male domestic violence here in South Carolina is getting every bit as bad as vice versa with each passing day.

By the way, here is the toll-free number to some shelters if you or someone you know is being abused – I am only posting the numbers to shelters that serve both genders in the Tri-State:

1-800-273-5066 – national Safe Homes number

706-736-2499 – Safe Homes Augusta, Ga.

803-649-0480 – Cumbee Center to Assist Abused Persons

By the way, Georgia has the highest number of women killed by their male partners.

WYFF-DT is a brother publication to Cosmopolitan and Winston-Salem’s WXII-HD.

Man arrested at Grovetown Wal-Mart for sexual assault arrested at WEST RICHLAND AVE Wal-Mart on same charges

AIKEN — A man who was arrested 376 days ago at the Grovetown, Ga. Wal-Mart for sexual assault in relation to smelling women’s feet has been arrested on the exact same charge, this time in Aiken County.

Joey Leaphart, 44, of Burnettown, was arrested last summer in Grovetown and charged with sexual assault after an 18-year-old woman called the Columbia County Sheriff’s Office after he asked if he could kiss her foot as part of the prank, then started sucking on her big toe and finally exclaimed that “it tasted so good, though”.

In that incident, Mr. Leaphart asked the 18-year-old if her toenails were painted, whether she’d watched America’s Funniest Home Videos (AFV) and said he was with the show.

Now, he was arrested by the Aiken Department of Public Safety and is facing charges in Aiken County in a similar incident today, which unlike the Grovetown incident, involves older women.

In today’s incident, Mr. Leaphart touched a woman’s leg at the WEST RICHLAND AVE store, then placed chewed gum between her foot and her flip-flop sandal, causing her to step on the gum.

The victim told ADPS officers that Mr. Leaphart came up behind her while she was checking out. He then reportedly reached down and touched her calf.

The victim told ADPS officers that Mr. Leaphart got closer, smiled and said, “I need to get my gum. It rolled under your foot”. The victim yelled at Mr. Leaphart to “back off”, but he was persistent in trying to retrieve the gum, she told ADPS officers.

The new charges Mr. Leaphart faces are now third degree assault and trespass after warning. He was banned from all of the Wal-Mart stores nationwide after his Grovetown arrest.

Full disclosure: I love women’s feet and I have a foot fetish. I also know how to control my urges and I know how to respect women’s boundaries everywhere I go.

On the flip side, however: Mr. Leaphart is a creepy, creepy, rapey dude who has absolutely no respect whatsoever for women’s boundaries.

He needs to be locked away for the good of women and men everywhere across the Central Savannah River Area.
