Bamberg County to lose its local newspaper

Bamberg — Bamberg County’s local weekly newspaper is folding.

The Advertizer-Herald announced on Friday that they’re closing for good.

Ruth Bader Ginsburg, the only justice that stood between the right wing’s 47-year pro-slavery agenda, dies

Washington, DC — Ruth Bader Ginsburg, the Supreme Court justice that stood on the side of freedom and liberty and against tyranny and the enslavement of pregnant people, has passed away.

She was 87.

One of her final words, from her death bed were as follows:

“My most fervent wish is that I will not be replaced until a new president is installed.”

Senator Lisa Murkowski (R-Alaska) released a statement, vowing to stop any confirmation of a new Supreme Court nominee until at least January 20, 2021.

Guilty plea: Statesboro man admits to slapping Alex Bozarjian on the ass

Savannah — A Statesboro man had his day in court on Tuesday.

Thomas Callaway, 44, of Statesboro, pleaded guilty to sexual battery. He was identified as runner 7553 in a marathon on December 7, 2019 in an incident caught on WSAV-DT News 3’s camera.
