Senator Tim Scott, like every other GOP politician, is violating his oath of office

Charleston — Senator Tim Scott has decided to violate his oath of office.

In a tweet five minutes after the US Supreme Court began hearing Dobbs vs. Jackson Women’s Health, in a case that will likely see the Supreme Court take away a basic human right for the first time ever, Senator Scott said that he stands with the “unborn”.

South Carolina House introduces bill to ban Medicaid patients from receiving health care

Columbia — The South Carolina House of Representatives have introduced another bill that would essentially ban Medicaid patients from receiving any kind of health care.

The bill is known as H. 4491, and it defunds the only health care provider in the state that accepts Medicaid patients, Planned Parenthood. If H. 4491 is passed into law, there will be absolutely no alternatives for Medicaid patients in South Carolina for health care.

Vicki Ringer, the director of Planned Parenthood South Atlantic South Carolina, writes:

Attention : major announcement for tomorrow morning March 7 th :
Friends, the House Judiciary Subcommittee is holding a hearing tomorrow morning at 9 am in Room 516 of the Blatt Building on the State House grounds (it’s between the Gressette Building and Pendleton Street). The bill is H. 4491 which prevents patients on Medicaid from coming to abortion clinics for pap smears, breast exams, birth control, STD testing and treatment, cancer screenings and other health care. This is the “defund Planned Parenthood” bill.

It has absolutely no impact on the number of abortions performed because state and federal law already prohibit funding for abortion. And though the bill says it affects abortion clinics, Planned Parenthood is the only one affected because we’re the only one which accepts Medicaid.

We really need people who will testify so we can fill the agenda and perhaps slow down a vote or prevent a vote tomorrow.

You don’t need any facts or statistics. Just talk about how politicians are interfering with women’s health care choices, taking away women’s option to go to an already trusted health care provider, making it more difficult for low income women to seek care, hurting women over and over again. It’s getting really tiring having to constantly defend our basic rights to care. Legislators have decided that they haven’t punished us enough this year.

Please come tomorrow and show your support AGAIN for our reproductive rights in SC.

Please forward this to all your networks and contacts. Share on social media. Post on Facebook. Let’s fill the room again!

Thank you so much!

Vicki

With the state being much worse off now than it was in 1986, waging a War on South Carolina Women is what this crooked conservative state does best.

November 6, where are you?

Asia Misandry: toilet, male urinal that can easily be seen from outside, and female janitor that can enter men toilet.

This is from a men’s rights blogger, but this blogger speaks the truth about the hypocrisy and double standards both in Asia and in the United States of America.

“As a men I disagree with ‘male urinal (peeing place) that can easily be seen from outside public’ (specifically in Asia region – I’m more fine with Europe since they apply equality, Europe have the reverse too: female urinoir), I also disagree when female janitor/ staff can easily enter men toilet. If you ask why, it is because in Asia if the situation were reverse – example female version of urinal/ other female room that can be seen from outside public, or if men janitor can enter female toilet – it will be seen as “offensive”, so it’s double standard. This have unfairness to men too like ‘it only sexist if men see his opposite sex peeing activity’ (yet “ok” if reverse), or ‘it only sexist if men enter his opposite sex bathroom’ (yet “ok” if reverse). Other thing is if male seeing female activity when peeing easily considered by mainstream that “female already been degrade by men” then why the reverse ‘female who see male peeing’ (coincidentally or not) is not fairly considered as ‘degraded male’ too? If you said “no women peeping” my answer is: you fear men can peeping hence your objection is ‘men will SEE his opposite sex peeing’ right? then a female janitor enter male room, or male urinal that can easily be seen from outside public is also about ‘Female can SEE her opposite sex pee’ even if it’s accidentally but the essential is SAME, and who knows if there’s a female that happy can easily see men peeing at public toilet? So either both have equal privacy, or both are okay to see each other peeing. by the way I often accidentally see men underwear, or even men butt/ peeing dick at male toilet (even if i try not to see it), so no excused like “Oh female will not see anything.”

Baristas sue Seattle suburb over discriminatory ordinance

Everett, Wash. — A group of baristas are filing a lawsuit against this Seattle suburb after it passed an ordinance designed to discriminate against women and force the baristas to the unemployment line.

Everett recently passed one of the most anti-woman, anti-business measures the Seattle area has ever seen when they adopted an ordinance requiring any article of clothing they wear to be a minimum of three inches below the ass. Read the rest of this entry »

The 2015 World Series champions are promoting blatant misogyny in front of their female fans

Crown-Vision-Vitae-Foundation-ad_web-200x300

Kansas City, Mo. — One surefire way to get women to boycott a team is by promoting blatant misogyny.

The Kansas City Royals are partnering up with the Vitae Foundation, an organization known for is misogyny all across Kansas and Missouri. The group, as the women’s rights organization UltraViolet noted, is known for manipulating and lying to women who seek abortions, and promoting extreme anti-choice propaganda. Vitae’s deceptive ads are so grotesque that one Kansas City area radio station actually had the decency to do what is right – remove the ads and ban the group’s ads from its station.

However, that’s not stopping the Royals. The 2015 World Series champions have signed up to broadcast the Vitae ads at games and over the airwaves on as many as 59 radio stations.

Women who are fans of baseball are enraged over this and are already planning to boycott the Royals.

UltraViolet has a petition in an attempt to diffuse this situation, which threatens to get volatile.

Sign the petition and call on the Royals to cease advertising with Vitae.

Williston Telephone Company (TDS Telecom) publishes two anti-choice centers under “Women’s Health Services”

wp_20170112_15_12_24_pro_31

On Thursday, residents of the towns of Williston, Windsor, Elko, Neeses, North, Norway, Wolfton and Woodford all got their telephone books, which was 15 days earlier than usual.

Usually, no one cares to look near the front, but I did (because I wanted to look at prefixes and area codes) and disgusted does not even begin to describe my reaction when I looked at the Human Services section, which is before you even get to the White Pages. Read the rest of this entry »

South Carolina Republicans vow to pass unconstitutional bill prohibiting residents from accessing online porn

SC-state-Rep.-Bill-Chumley-R-via-Facebook

Columbia — The Republican Party officially hates the United States Constitution.

Out of the thousands of unconstitutional bills being floated around by the Republican Party both in Congress and in the States, a proposal in this state to outlaw the accessing of online pornography is among the worst of the proposals.

Bill Chumley, R-Spartanburg, is the chief sponsor of the so-called “Human Trafficking Prevention Act”. He wants to require all MacBooks and other computers, Windows 10 phones and other smartphones, and all smart televisions sold to residents of the state to have web filters like Barracuda installed before the sale of the computer, smart TV or smartphone to an S.C. resident is final.

The bill would fine manufacturers or sellers that sell a device without a digital blocking system installed. Buyers would be arrested if they receive a computer, phone or smart TV without the digital blocking system installed. Any manufacturer or seller that didn’t want to install the system could pay a $20 opt-out fee for each device sold.

Any buyers who want the filter lifted after purchasing a computer, smartphone or smart TV would have to pay a $20 fee, after verifying they are 18 or older.

“If an end user buys an apparatus, a computer, and they want access to that, they would have to pay to have that filter removed,” Chumley said.

The bill also would prohibit access to any online hub that facilities sex work and would require manufacturers, sellers and buyers to block any websites that engage in consensual sex work, Chumley said.

Web pages such as eBay, Amazon, Craigslist and Spencers would all be permanently blocked and inaccessible by South Carolina residents should this bill become law, regardless of what manufacturers, sellers or buyers do.

What that means is that this blatantly political “Human Trafficking Prevention Act” bill is undoubtedly unconstitutional and a violation of the First Amendment, no matter what cause Chumley or anyone else believes to be noble. I hope the American Civil Liberties Union, the Electronic Frontier Foundation and the Free Speech Coalition are paying attention to this action by the South Carolina Republican Party, a state political party that has a notorious history of violating our Constitution.

Contact the state House here, and state Senators here, and tell them to kill this bill!

Contact Chumley here and demand he drops the bill!

Spartanburg Herald-Journal

UPDATE Tuesday @ 1:43: It gets worse. According to OnMSFT, any smartphone or smart television sold to a resident of the state must have the web filtering software installed as well before the purchase can proceed. This post has been updated to reflect this new information. You know what to do, readers.

10 times Megyn Kelly was no Shero — Dr. Jen Gunter

Megyn Kelly interviewed Newt Gingrich on the subject of Donald Trump’s alleged groping. Gingrich didn’t seem to understand that the character of the Presidential candidate is an issue or that Bill Clinton isn’t running for President. It ended with Gingrich accusing Kelly of being sex obsessed and Kelly telling Gingrich he had some anger management […]

An actual presidential candidate tweeted about a sex tape this morning

New York City — At 5:30am, Donald Trump showed the world exactly what he was made of with the tweet above about Alicia Machado, a woman who became a US citizen on Sunday.

Other than the word disgusting, I don’t know what else to say.
