Orangeburg — An Orangeburg Department of Public Safety officer was axed and then arrested for stomping on the head of a 58-year-old man he had arrested moments earlier.

Estill — A woman has been arrested in the death of another woman in Estill.
The Estill Police Department said that during the holiday weekend, Tiffany Rebecca Owens, 33, was booked on murder charges Saturday after a shooting. The Hampton and Jasper County Sheriff offices, and the Yemassee Police Department assisted the Estill Police in the investigation, which is ongoing as of midnight EDT.

Savannah — A Statesboro man who participated in a marathon on December 7 was arrested Friday after he was caught on WSAV-DT News 3’s camera slapping an anchor of that television station on the ass.

Augusta, Ga. — Those who attend a local Unitarian Universalist Church woke up to see hatred rearing its ugly head.
The Unitarian Universalist Church of Augusta was vandalized with the words “God Will Not Be Mocked” and other symbols of hate spray painted on the bricks and windows of the building.
This type of hatred targeting Unitarian Universalist churches is nothing new. In 2008, the Unitarian Universalist Church of Knoxville, Tenn. was the scene of a massacre committed by a right wing terrorist.

Orangeburg — A 24-year-old has been arrested for threats to one of two high schools in Orangeburg County.
The man, identified as Shakiem Ellison, was picked up at 2:30 EDT today after a county-wide sweep by the Orangeburg County Sheriff’s Office the minute they got word of threats against Orangeburg-Wilkinson High School on Tuesday.

Orangeburg — The Orangeburg County Sheriff’s Office is investigating threats made to two high schools on Tuesday.
According to Sheriff Leroy Ravenell on the department’s Facebook page, they are aware of the incidents at Lake Marion and Orangeburg-Wilkinson. He says he hopes to catch those responsible.

Just last month, a 19-year-old Barnwell man was arrested for threatening the entire Williston-Elko School District 29. He was granted bond the next day!
Fairfax – A pupil was arrested at Allendale-Fairfax High School earlier this week for bringing a handgun on school grounds.
Rick Gooding, who works for Barnwell radio station WDOG-FM, tweeted about this.
The only info is that the pupil was a freshman and was taken to the Department of Juvenile Justice in Columbia. Neither the Allendale-Fairfax School District nor the Allendale County Sheriff’s Department identified the suspect due to his age.
Barnwell — Barnwell County Sheriff’s officers and Barnwell Police Office deputies are looking for a quartet of African-American men who robbed the AT&T in the Dunbarton Plaza and made off with cash and smartphones, including the limited stock of Microsoft Lumia 950s.
The People-Sentinel reported that the robbery happened just before closing.
According to social media reports, this is the third time that particular store was targeted for robbery since January 6.
