Sprint customers are now T-Mobile customers
Overland Park, Kan. — After 127 years, as of 2:00 am local time (midnight PDT), Sprint is no more.
The Sprint-T-Mobile merger that was approved a year ago is now in its third stage. The first stage was combining the LTE networks (Bands 2, 4 and 12 with Bands 25, 26 and 41). The second stage was completed today with the Sprint name being dumped.
The third stage consists of decommissioning the Sprint network in its entirety. While T-Mobile has plans to use Band 41 for LTE and possibly 5G, Bands 25 and 26 will go bye-bye. Band 2 (PCS) and Band 5 will replace Bands 25 and 26 once the decommissioning is complete.
If you try to go to Sprint’s web page now, it will redirect you to T-Mobile’s web page instead.
Sprint customers, now that you have been displaced, will you stay with T-Mobile? Or will you go to Verizon or AT&T?
