Redmond, Wash. — On Friday, the Lumia line was officially killed off, leading to Windows Mobile’s worldwide market share dropping like a boulder from the Kentucky mountains to the bottom.

Heading into 2017, Microsoft’s Windows Mobile’s market share is only decimal points around the everywhere around the world.

Everywhere, that is, except for in Microsoft’s home country: the United States.

Heading into 2017, the market share of Windows Mobile has remained steady since March at 2%. Meaning at 1 in every 50 smartphone users, the US is the nation that you are the most likely to see a Windows Mobile user.
