South Carolina issues Bond Alert for kidnapped Metro Augusta teen
Evans, Ga. — A 15-year-old girl was kidnapped and sexually assaulted this past weekend and authorities on both sides of the Savannah are looking for a 37-year-old man.
Jason Johnson (pictured at bottom), 37, is wanted for aggravated child molestation, child molestation, criminal sexual conduct with a minor in the first degree, enticing a child for indecent purposes and contributing to the delinquency of a minor after he sexually assaulted Calah Noel Waskow, 15 (pictured at top). He is described as being 68 inches, or five feet eight inches, in height. He drives a tan colored 1998 Ford Crown Victoria with South Carolina tag: KJV240.
He will also face kidnapping charges as he abducted Ms. Waskow. South Carolina issued its Bond Alert for the teenager.
The Columbia County Sheriff’s Office is accepting your calls with any information on the whereabouts of the duo. Ms. Waskow is considered to be in grave danger. Mr. Johnson should be considered as extremely dangerous.
The Bond Alert is South Carolina’s version of the AMBER Alert. The Bond Alert is named after the late Malcolm Bond, who was abducted by a predator and found slain in the summer of 1999. Mr. Bond was 8 years old.
