All women born in 1981 or later should be required to register for the Selective Service
WASHINGTON, DC — Now that combat jobs are open to women, we say it is time for those women born on January 1, 1981 or later to register for the Selective Service System, or the SSS.
Army General Mark Milley and Marine General Robert Neller said women should be included in the requirement to register for the selective service at age 18. Yes, but we would also include all women born on or after the aforementioned date as well if they are already over the age of 18.
And if the military really wanted to keep the same standards in the military, they would have required all women who are still alive, and born on or after January 1, 1960 to register for the selective service.
