COLUMBIA ― Another video of an outrageous unprovoked assault on an Upper Midlands pupil by a Richland County Sheriff’s Department officer was released while most people were sleeping.

According to WLTX, they obtained exclusively a second, equally NSFW, video. It’s a longer clip than the initial one, and some extra conversation can be heard.

“I’ve never seen anything so nasty looking, so sick to the point that you know, other students are turning away, don’t know what to do, and are just scared for their lives,” said Spring Valley pupil Tony Robinson Jr., who made the recording. “That’s supposed to be somebody that’s going to protect us. Not somebody that we need to be scare off, or afraid.”

Leon Lott, the Sheriff, is currently on his way back home from a meeting with President Obama and law enforcement officials across the nation.  Sheriff Lott cut short his time in the President’s hometown of Chicago when he, the Richland County Sheriff’s Department and Richland Two Schools started getting thousands of messages and tweets hourly.

“It’s very disturbing what happened today (Monday). It’s something I have to deal with and that’s what we’re going to be doing,” said Sheriff Lott via Facetime from Chicago.

Sheriff Lott said that under no circumstances will Officer Ben Fields be back as a School Resource Deputy. Whether or not Officer Fields, who has faced lawsuits before and will likely face one over this incident, keeps his job in Columbia will be determined by both the investigation and the community demands.

Lisa Bloom, formerly of TruTV, said that merely holding Officer Fields accountable isn’t good enough.

“I would sue the sheriff’s officer, the school and sheriff’s department that kept him after prior similar complaints,” said Ms. Bloom, the daughter of Gloria Allred, on Twitter.
