Both the Microsoft Lumia 640 and Lumia 640 XL will be sold by both AT&T and T-Mobile by August 31
REDMOND, Wash. — The Mobile World Congress still has a little more than a day left, but if you love the Microsoft Lumia 640 and Lumia 640 XL like we did, then we have big news.
Next month, three of the seven models will arrive in the States for sale: the single SIM Microsoft Lumia 640 LTE, and both LTE versions of the Microsoft Lumia 640 XL (single SIM and dual SIM).
The single SIM Lumia 640 will be initially sold exclusively at T-Mobile and all of their MVNOs, including MetroPCS. The single SIM Lumia 640 XL will be sold exclusively for the spring season at American Telephone and Telegraph, however. That means it’s a little bit of bad news for T-Mob: the single SIM Lumia 640 XL, which is 5.7 inches in screen, will not arrive to T-Mobile or MetroPCS prior to June 21, which is the first day of the solar summer. The single SIM Lumia 640, which is an even five inches in screen size, won’t arrive to AT&T until June 21, as well.
The third and final model that will arrive to Canada and the States is the dual SIM Lumia 640 LTE. It will be the first major dual SIM phone sold in North America, and the fourth overall. Blu was the first OEM to sell dual SIM phones in the continent, selling the Blu Win Jr. and the Blu Win HD last summer. Say Yezz then followed suit by selling the Yezz Billy 4.7 a few months later.
The Lumia 640 XL Dual SIM LTE will come unlocked and will be sold exclusively online at web sites such as Microsoft Store and Amazon at first before arriving inside of major retail stores physically such as Best Buy, Wal-Mart and Target.
The suggested retail price of the Lumia 640 will be $153.88. The suggested retail price of the single SIM Lumia 640 XL and dual SIM Lumia 640 XL are the same – at $244.88.
