Woman murders man on Christmas Eve
GALIVANTS FERRY — The family of a 52-year-old man expecting to see him today got the news that they will never get to see him again.
That’s because Connie Louise Highsmith, 55, of Galivants Ferry, was arrested for murdering him.
On Tuesday at 15:01, Horry County Police Department deputies responded to a deadly domestic violence stabbing along METHODIST REHOBETH RD. The victim was already slain by the time deputies arrived.
Ms. Highsmith is at the J. Reuben Long Detention Center in Conway. More charges against her could follow during the conclusion of an autopsy on the victim.
ADPS investigating sexual assault at school
AIKEN — The Aiken Department of Public Safety has announced that they are investigating an alleged sexual assault from three months ago.
A deputy responded to Aiken Middle School on September 16. The alleged sexual assault happened three days earlier at the school.
No other details were given at this time by ADPS.
