Columbia County woman arrested for violently stabbing husband in Myrtle Beach

Lisa Wahman says that she “didn’t think she stabbed the male victim that hard.”

MYRTLE BEACH — An abusive Evans, Ga. woman is at the J. Reuben Long Detention Center in Conway after violently stabbing her husband during a domestic fight.

Myrtle Beach Police Department detectives responded to a hotel at 2600 NORTH OCEAN BLVD Sunday around 2:00 on reports of an assault.

When officers arrived, the 39-year-old victim was laying on the kitchen floor in the hotel room.

Officers said the suspect was outside with hotel security when they got there.

A witness told police officers that she was sleeping in the guest bedroom with kids when she was woken up by the suspect entering the room.

The witness said the suspect went into the bathroom, and then she heard the victim yell, “Ouch Lisa,” according to the report.

Lisa, referring to Lisa Wahman, 44, of Evans.

The witness then saw the victim laying in a pool of blood in the kitchen, and dialed 911.

When they got a 911 hang-up from the hotel room, security guards then arrived on the scene.

They detained Mrs. Wahman.

Police determined that the incident likely started in the bedroom, where they found “a large pool of blood on the bed”. A steak knife, the weapon of choice, was found.

Mrs. Wahman told officers that she “didn’t think she stabbed him that hard.”

Mrs. Wahman was charged with criminal domestic violence of a high and aggravated nature, which is the only appropriate charge for such a violent stabbing.

Mrs. Wahman meant to harm him, which was reason enough to haul her ass off to jail. It didn’t matter if she tried to stab him softly or as hard as she could (and ultimately did), what she did was domestic violence. Sorry ma’am, you are an abuser and I hope you get the book thrown at you by the judges in Horry County.

You don’t deserve to come back to Evans, Mrs. Wahman.

Furthermore, I hope your husband divorces you. He is better off without you.

The most sexist ad in a while comes from TrueCar

SANTA MONICA, CA — There has been a thirty two (32) second ad from TrueCar on YouTube since March 1 and only now has it gotten the attention of women everywhere due to its condescending, sexist, mansplaining context.

Listen to the ad:

One of the women in the ad says that “I don’t need to bring a dude with me.”, a sign that TrueCar clearly do not see women as independent human beings who are perfectly capable of buying cars without my help, or that of any other man.

That’s a sexist ad for ya, and it is oh-so subtle these days. Tell TrueCar that you’re #notbuyingit.

George W. Bush appointed judge says that 42-day abortion ban is ‘clearly’ unconstitutional

BISMARCK, ND — Clearly unconstitutional.

Those were the words from Daniel Hovland today, as he gaveled down a 42-day-old abortion ban, the most strict ban of its kind in the nation. Even some supporters of this extreme law admit that banning abortion will not stop women from getting abortions.

The law was originally scheduled to go into effect three weeks ago today, and was then delayed until August 1.

The law will not go into effect anytime soon if Judge Hovland and others in the second-most conservative court in the land has any say.

“There is no question that (the North Dakota law) is in direct contradiction to a litany of United States Supreme Court cases addressing restraints on abortion,” wrote Judge Hovland. “(It) is clearly an invalid and unconstitutional law based on the United States Supreme Court precedent in Roe v. Wade from 1973 … and the progeny of cases that have followed.”

Red River Clinic’s director, Tammi Kromenaker and Janet Crepps, the lead attorney of the New York City-based Center for Reproductive Rights, said the six-week abortion ban would stop about 90 percent of abortions at the clinic.

Furthermore, the law would “pose a very immediate threat to virtually all women seeking an abortion in North Dakota.”

“This ruling means that women won’t have to rush in and make a decision,” said Mrs. Kromenaker of the injunction. “Now they have more time to talk to their loved one, their pastor – whoever the need to talk to – while weighing their decision to have an abortion.”

That is just one of a host of misogynistic and unconstitutional laws on abortion the clinic is challenging.

Another new and unconstitutional measure being challenged by the clinic would make North Dakota the only state to prohibit women from having an abortion because a fetus has a genetic defect, such as Down syndrome.

Also, the clinic is still challenging a two-year-old unconstitutional Targeted Regulation of Abortion Providers law that would cause it to close if it took effect. That law would require doctors who perform abortions to be physicians with “hospital admitting privileges”. A lawsuit challenging that law has been combined with another one challenging another two-year old North Dakota law that outlaws one of two drugs used in nonsurgical abortions. A state judge ruled last week that the 2011 law violates the state and U.S. constitutions. A judge hasn’t yet issued a ruling on the new law requiring abortion doctors to have hospital admitting privileges.

The only one of these unconstitutional uterus-confiscation laws not being challenged by Red River is the 20-week abortion ban. Red River is the only true women’s health clinic in the entire state of North Dakota, and they do not perform abortions after 16 weeks.

Charlotte firefighter choked wife, cat

GASTONIA, NC — A Charlotte firefighter has been suspended indefinitely without pay after being arrested on charges of strangling his fiancée and killing their cat over the weekend.

WSOC-HD 9 Eyewitness News obtained a quintet of warrants against Bryan Barfield and one of them alleged that Mr. Barfield chocked his 29-year-old financée, dragged her around the house, repeatedly hit her in the face, and forced her head against the dishwasher on July 18.

Another warrant alleged that some of his abusive behavior against his fiancée happened around their 2-year-old child.

A quintet of different charges were filed, including one for a 14-week-old kitten Mr. Barfield killed by punting it like a football on fourth down.

All of the incidents happened on LOWELL BETHESDA RD, the couple’s residence.

Officials said there was no history of domestic violence in the family.

His bond was reduced by 80%, from $50000.00 to $10000.00.

However, Charlotte Fire Captain Rob Brisley released a statement on Monday stating, in part, “I want our citizens to know, we hold our firefighters to a high standard of conduct.”

There may not have been a history of domestic violence previously, but there is one now. And unfortunately, it will likely get worse from here on out.
